The moment I fell in love with acting

was when I was 10 years old and stayed up

all night to watch

the 25th Anniversary Performance of

Les Miserables on PBS.

I remember watching Samantha Barks sing

"On My Own," and thinking

"she's making magic"- through her storytelling,

I could clearly see

the pavement shining like silver,

and all the misty lights in the river.

I wanted to make magic in that same way

​

I hope that some day, a little 10 year old kid will look at me, onstage or onscreen somewhere, and be inspired to make magic, too.
